About
Kelly Jo Garrison has been cutting hair in eastern Iowa for nearly 20 years. She grew up in Columbus Junction and after high school went directly to Capri College in Cedar Rapids for cosmetology. Upon graduating with her cosmetology license she came back to Columbus Junction and opened a salon. Soon after Kelly Jo met her husband TJ and moved to Wapello. She worked in a salon in Muscatine for a short time before having her two darling boys. Kelly Jo then moved her services to her now hometown of Wapello, renting space and then buying an already existing salon.
The Garrison family renovated a historical building built in 1895 in the center of Wapello and made it their home. The building was known to the community as Stella’s Dress Shop. Discovering that her home was zoned as commercial property and having a perfect space in the front for a salon, in 2020 Kelly Jo moved her salon into her home.
